- Stroll through the Sa’d al-Saltaneh Caravanserai a valuable memorial from the Qajar Dynasty, known as one of Iran’s best-preserved urban caravanserais.
- Discover the Tomb of Esther & Mordecai the biblical Queen Esther and her uncle Mordechai; one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Jews in Iran.
- Explore the ancient Temple of Anahita a major sanctuary erected to the goddess of waters and fertility who was worshipped in ancient Persia.
- Visit the Shushtar the ancient fortress city & Shushtar Historical Hydraulic System from the 3rd century CE a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Discover Chogha-Zanbil ancient Elamite complex, one of the few existing ziggurats outside Mesopotamia built in 1250 BC.
- Explore Haft-Tappeh or Seven Mounds (Elamite Necropolis) from one of the oldest civilizations in Western Asia, dating back to 5,000 B.C.
- Explore Persepolis, the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid kings. Built by Darius the Great in 512 BC, its magnificent ruins is among the world’s greatest archaeological sites. UNESCO declared the ruins of Persepolis a World Heritage Site in 1979.
- Stroll through the Sa’adabad Palace/Museum Complex, 300-hectare complex built by the Qajar and Pahlavi monarchs.
Itinerary Outline:
DAY 01:
DEPARTURE EUROPE
Departure from a European city (pre-booked hotel rooms).
DAY 02:
ARRIVAL IN TEHRAN
Arrive at Tehran’s IKA airport; meet and transfer to hotel; later in the day visit to some of Tehran’s major museums; overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 03:
TEHRAN-QAZVIN-HAMADAN (380 km)
Morning drive to Hamadan, stopping in Qazvin for historic visits; continue to Hamadan for a half-day tour followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 04:
HAMADAN-KERMANSHAH (180 km)
Further visits in Hamadan and drive to Kermanshah via Kangavar (a small town of great antiquity dating back to 200 B.C.; continue to Kermanshah for a half-day tour followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 05:
KERMANSHAH-AHWAZ (550 km)
Drive to Ahwaz, via Islam Abad Gharb and through the Province of Ilam

AHWAZ/EXC. CHOGHA ZANBIL & SUSA
Full-day excursion to Chogha-Zanbil and Susa.
DAY 07:
AHWAZ-SHIRAZ (560 km)
Drive to Shiraz, en-route visit Bishapur; continue to Shiraz for overnight stay at the hotel

Full day city tour of Shiraz to visit some of the famous gardens of this city of “poets, serene gardens, and sacred shrines
